Hong Kong Ocean Park Holiday Visit

I and my friend touched down at Hong Kong International Airport on 13 Oct 2010, 11am on a early Tiger Airways.

We went down to Ocean Park the next late morning 14 Oct (Thurs). Its better to reach Ocean Park by opening hour 10am in order to enjoy all the features.

It was really an educational and eye opener tour . Ocean Park is much bigger and better things than Sentosa. The entrance fees of HKD$250 is really worth going twice.

If you buy tickets at Admiralty MTR in Hong Kong, got discount of HKD$28.
It'll just cost you HKD$222. (save you around SGD$5)

->>>> See photos here & the videos at bottom of this page to see for yourselves what I mean. <<<-

Got discounts buying  tickets to Ocean Park if you become a temp MTR member
at this Admiralty Station , just before going up to bus interchange

a mobile drink stalls at the bus interchange reminding you that the water in Ocean Park cost HKD$16.
Buy here only HKD$5 or $6, saves you HKD$10 (SGD$1.60)

drop at Admiralty MTR station (not the one next to Woodlands huh)

kite flying at west coast park

Before flying to Hong Kong and ShenZhen, I was flying my new kite with my retiree friend after being dissappointed by the weak wind in Jurong Central Park (Safra) , two days ago.

We cycled all the way from old Jurong West to West Coast Park, which took us almost 1 hour.

it was really a exciting experience for us as the wind conditions here is strong enough even
for big kites to launch up into the sky...

apparently, my "Tiger" kite caught the attention of an adorable Ah-Moh baby girl who keeps chattering to me
"i like your tiger kite..." when i was busy attaching up my LED lights circuit to my tiger kite.

i asked her why she like my "tiger" kite, she jus keep muttering to herself away and fiddling away with
my strings and reel... lol :D

after our tiring ride and kite flying at west coast , we decided to head back to Clementi for a meal at around 8pm.  I was like so hungry , almost can eat a whole tiger....

we stopped at a hawker centre opposite West Coast Plaza (previously known as Ginza Plaza).

I ordered a bowl of Fish Sliced Bee Hoon at only S$4.00/=, while my partner reluctantly took S$4.50 Fish Sliced Soup with rice.

Really worth my money $$$, yummy and this is the first time i see a fishfood stall with Grade A in Singapore.

Very clean and taste good! Soup is hot and Sedap!

I wil give the stall 5 Stars rating!!!

How to detremine wind speed for the day?

 Wind Speed

taken from Passion Kites Forum by Yang - forum moderator

u can find out the wind condition of location from the link below: http://www.windfinder.com/forecasts/wind_indonesia_akt.htm

just click on the location in the given list below. eg. sengkang field.

would recommed checking only the day before,
as forcast updates daily and get more accurate when the date draws closer.
how to read the chart?
time is in 24hr, and the interval jump.
wind speed: is in knots, 1knote =roughly 1mph
for a nice gental wind look out for 3-4knots, those are the wind speed most kite need to get going.

wind direction: basiclly pointing towards the direction the air if flowing. but i doesnt really matter when planning for location. as the wind does change on site.
preciptation: arrr!! this is the one... u wont want to get wet. 1means drizzle.. 2 or more.. stay way XD.

hope this help in kite outting planning
