I open-mouthly looked at the setup of the Leds and battery which is quite heavy maybe total=600grams.
He told me the battery set cost S$115 and the kite alone is S$110, hope i got it right. The string of 500metres is S$35 (can get in 7-elevens)
According to the 'professional banglah', the kite and battery+led can buy in Pioneer road, near the motorbike workshops but i have to find out where exactly it is, maybe is locate dthe industrial area near Kian Teck.
The battery charging takes about 8hrs and can last for 6 hours, i thgt that was a more than sufficient time to show off in the nite skys.
I curiously asked the kite flyer: 'can fly or not?'
As usual body language, he'l move his head continously from left to right , then replied me "...not a problem, later u see i fly high, alibaba"
So i waited and finally he placed the monster kite about 50 meters away, leaning it on a lamp-post and wait for the wind to pull it up into the beautiful nite windy sky.
The wind was quite strong and we could feel the breeze, many kite flyers there are struggling with their little kites.
The much bigger kites are already very high up in the night sky, perhaps slightly higher than the two veteran resident eagles that are always seen hovering the Jurong sky.
But after he struggling for 5 minutes, the kite drop drastically in hight
due to unstable wind conditions and i suspect the weight constraint on the kite is heavily straining on the UFO kite, thus pulling it down.
About 20minutes on, it was still resting on the ground...after a few attempts to bring it up into the sky.
and
it seems that the blinking leds lights were suddenly off.... spoilt or off to conserve energy?
I was like thinking this kite need a super strong wind to lift it up.
and there was a kite of similar setup nearby flying up in the night sky...
Even though it had fewer leds on the 3 traingular sides, it didn't
really fly very high at most about ~ 60 metres of string.
After having said of these, it was stil a magnificent sight in the total darkness of the nite sky in Jurong,
hope he managed to fly the UFO... :D
